Customer Rating: Summary: I thought about buying this but Comment: There were just to many GREAT videos missing! Why U Wanna Treat Me So Bad, Sexuality, Automatic, When Doves Cry, America, Mountains, Anotherloverholenyohead, Glam Slam, I Wish U Heaven, Batdance, Scandalous, Partyman, Thieves In The Temple, Money Don't Matter 2Nite, and The Morning Papers. Glam Slam was a great video, and Batdance was a #1 Hit. I'm also disappointed that it did not have the Thieves In The Temple video. The Graffiti Bridge DVD only includes the edited version.
Customer Rating: Summary: Shipping problems: Two Prince Hits Collection DVD's Comment: This is the second Prince Hits collection DVD I ordered through Amazon in a month. The first DVD was said to had been delivered and left at my home at 1:00pm or so by the post office while I was at work. I never saw it. I complained to no avail. So I ordered and paid for the same exact item from another vendor through Amazon. I did get that one. Amazon should mandate that shippers ship with insurance or send with signature required. It's not right that vendors ship items and carriers leave shipments for anyone to just pick up. Even though it was not a lot of money, I lost it when it wasn't my call or error. I was very disappointed with that experience.
Customer Rating: Summary: not hard to get Comment: This is not hard to 2 get why are they selling it for these prices i live in az i guess in other statess its a hard item Pathic
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Comment: Great to see some of my old favourite Prince videos again. It is also a shame to see some of them not in such as Purple Rain - surely that is one of his greatest. I really enjoyed this dvd though and recommend it to a Prince fan.
Customer Rating: Summary: A very good start... Comment: This was my 1st Prince DVD I ever got. I got mines from Walmart($12.99) & when I got my DVD player 4 Christmas I was able 2 watch it. As much expected I was really excited when it started.
Even though it didn't have any videos on there from 1989 it still won major points with me. What makes this DVD stand out IMO is "I Wanna Be Your Lover"(1979), "Dirty Mind" & "Uptown" both in 1980 music videos. Those are the RARITIES right there..I doubt u'd see them on VH1 Classic. Although if u research more u'll find more versions of IWBYL video like the one he has on blue shorts & blue leg warmers--HILARIOUS but so 70s, which I'm very fortunate 2 have. Although I'm sure y'all would really rock out 2 "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?" video--which isn't on this collection.
BTW, at the end of the video during credits u hear the "Baby I'm A Star" concert ver. playing get that PR. Anniv. SE DVD & u can see how incredible the performance is incl. Sheila E.
A lot of people can FINALLY stop complain' about not havin' "When Doves Cry" & other PR related videos just buy the PR Anniv. SE DVD & u'll be in business!
Now what I'M waitin' 4 either from Warner Bros. Records, Paisley Park, or whatever is a special collection of his music videos from 1993-2000(which IMO could be called "The Symbol Era") they should also include at the end of it the Press Conference he did in 2000 tellin' how he is 2 be known as Prince again.
HINT HINT 2 those whom got rights 2 Prince's..oops..I mean The Artist's music videos in 1993-2000 years.
