The Koolatron P20 Compact 12V Cooler from Koolatron was specially designed to fit in those tight spaces between and behind the seats of your car, van or truck. A 12-Volt cooling unit plugs into your vehicles cigarette lighter. Koolatron P20 compact cooler can be set to keep your food up to 40°C colder than the outside temperature. The Compact Cooler has a capacity of 18 quarts, enough space to hold 23 12 oz. soft drink cans. Its latch-less lid can be opened with one hand and also features a swinging foldaway handle for easy carrying. Other features include a unique cord wrap, lighter storage spot and interior fan. The 12v Compact Cooler can be plugged into any vehicle cigarette lighter providing 12 Volts DC, or converted to operate on 110V or 220V AC with an AC Adapter (sold separately). Summary: Good cooler for solo truck drivers
Comment: This product works very well. I use mine 24/7 and have had no problems. I have left it in my truck for two days without starting the truck. It didn't run down my battery and it maintained temperature. The outside temperature was around 100 degrees. I would and have recomended this product to a friend.

Summary: Not happy
Comment: Overall, just not happy with this cooler. It's fits very perfectly behind the driver's seat of my SUV. The unit is smaller than the picture presents it. The picture shows 1/2 gallons of milk/juice in the cooler but neglects to tell you that you can't have anything in front of the fan. Therefore, 2 - 1/2 gallons don't fit. The unit is also really loud. I bought this cooler, and car adapter, to transport perishable items for a baby. Only I don't trust that it keeps milk and milk products cold enough. Nothing is ever cold. The temperature feels similar to something sitting in front of a fan. A regular cooler with ice would be better. If you're just storing soda, fine. But I wouldn't use it for longer periods of time with perishable items. Buy an Igloo cooler and lots of ice.

Summary: Does the job!
Comment: I ordered the Koolatron to carry my yogart, protein power drink and insulin on long travels. I commute 32 miles one way to the office and it keeps my lunch fresh. Remember though that your items should be cold already or from the fridge. It definitely does and job and fits nicely in my vehicle.

Summary: Pretty Good for a boat
Comment: We bought it to use on our sailboat so that we did not have to open the Ice Chest on Hot Days to remove luncheon meat or a drink. We use it with the AC/DC converter so that we use it mostly in port. (Don't like to use batteries when under sail.)

My wife feels that it works fine providing you cool it down well before using it.

Summary: Works great
Comment: Fit perfectly behind the front seat of our Cadillac. Cooler did an excellent job of working for our 3 week vacation. Our only disappointment was the directions not specifying that the blue and red dots on the plugs lining up with the arrow decides whether the cooler runs cold or hot. Also, make sure your food is already hot or cold, and the cooler has been running for at least 30 minutes, before placing in cooler.
