Comment: The wiress remote failed to link when trying to use it the second time. I was able to use the remote sensor which connects to the smoker and meat fine.
I have to send it back to the company to get a replacement under their 90 day warranty.
I would use it again.

Summary: Great product if it would last
Comment: This is the third time I've purchased this product, because it is so useful if you smoke food regularly. I have wood, charcoal, gas and electric smokers and now that I have calibrated the electric smoker using this product, I don't need it as much, but when I use any of the others, I can regulate the temperature much better and know how cooked the food is without opening the lid. The latter is important if I'm on a tight schedule and want to add a glaze.

The problem is that I have had to purchase three of them because they stop working after a year or two.

Comment: The Redi-Check SMoker Thermometer is a must for every serious and backyard BBQ'er. It's simple to operate, very accurate and has improved my end results quite a bit. Temperature and timing a keys to good BBQ and this is the tool to do it.

Summary: Poor design but works well.
Comment: I use this on weekends and have found it very reliable. The design of the on/off switch is terrible. You have to take it apart to find the switch to turn it on or off.
2 weeks after I started using it one switch broke right off. The switches are small and poorly designed. I remove the batteries now to shut it off.
Like I said before TERRIBLE design but very accurate.

Comment: I have used this many times since I bought it, cooking everything from pork shoulder for 15 hours to beef roast and ribs for 6-12 hours. My next venture will be a brisket. I recommend this for anyone that has interest in smoking foods.
