Customer Rating: Summary: skimama Comment: Really love having a battery operated ski boot dryer - I have fashioned a sling of sorts that hangs in my locker at Mammoth Mountain and position my ski boots above my skis in the locker and then turn on the boot dryer and let it run all night and I have dry boots for the next day without hauling them back and forth every night after skiing. Customer Rating: Summary: Best portable boot dryer for the money Comment: We recently took this dryer on our family ski vacation and it performed well. It comes with both a/c and d/c cords and takes batteries as well although I can't imagine ever using that feature. It packs away compactly in a ski bag or luggage. Customer Rating: Summary: Very Noisy Comment: If you plan to use this thing in your hotel room at night to dry boots or gloves, better pack earplugs also!
It blows cool air into the boots and dries eventually. Have used it with the AC adapter, expect the batteries would not last too long and make the until quite heavy. Customer Rating: Summary: Wors good- but it's LOUD Comment: Excellent for drying boots and gloves, however be sure to have it in a different room, it runs a little loud. Almost too loud- makes it less convenient. Customer Rating: Summary: Better Choices Comment: I'm a little disappointed in this dryer. I use it for ski boots that get almost daily use. A dryer with heated air would be more effective. It's also quite noisy, and lacks a timer. Though it can't use much power, I wish it would turn itself off after several hours' use. it gets the job done, but spending another $10 would have been money well spent to get heated air and a timer. There are better options out there. The 12v power would let you run it from a car, motor home, or boat, whcih may be useful to some people.
