Editorial Reviews:

Better Than Bouillon Organic concentrated bases are made with 95% certified organic ingredients, and are made primarly from meat (or vegetables). This gives them a richer, more robust flavor than ordinary bouillons. No MSG, no fat, lower sodium: Better Than Bouillon bases are fat free and have 1/3 less salt than ordinary bouillons.

Summary: Just Say No to MSG!
Comment: Ordered my third jar yesterday. This is so delicious! I use it as a minestrone base, a substitute for the ramen MSG laden soup packets, add it to my gravies and chile verde. I'd use it sparingly until you figure out what works for you. For myself, about two teaspoons per three cups of water seems to work.

Summary: A Good Quick Flavor Boost
Comment: This is the first organic soup base that I have purchased and tasted. It is a good and fast flavor boost when you make your own chicken stock and it is organic and free from MSG! I also used it to flavor the chicken entrees I make at home as the base is mild and not overpowering, without the need to add salt and other flavoring sauces.

Summary: Free of the Big Three
Comment: Better Than Bouillon *Organic* in both chicken and beef is soy, gluten, and dairy free at the time of this review.

As someone with severe food allergies, it took me ages to find a soup base that didn't have one of them. Its nice that the one I finally found is truly excellent. I use these products often and always have excellent results.

I find the chicken base a little on the sweet side, but nothing I can't work around.

Summary: Awesome!
Comment: This is a fabulous product. We are a MSG free household and before finding this product it was a whole lot more difficult to whip up a quick gravy or soup. Even if you don't feel strongly about being MSG free, why wouldn't you choose something that tastes better and is actually made with chicken?! I live in Norway and go to the trouble of transporting this product back whenever possible so that is saying a lot

Summary: Delicious, but misleading nutrition information
Comment: I enjoy this product immensely. Good clean flavor, not at all chemical or artificial tasting, and feel-good organic, to boot. BUT, But I must say that I am quite puzzled by the nutrition information on the jar label. According to my label a 1 teaspoon serving has 11 calories, 4 g fat, 1 g carb, and 42 gr protein. This is impossible. 1g fat=9 calories, 1 g carb=4 calories, 1 g protein = 4 calories. So, this product, if it does indeed have the quantities of nutrients that the label says it has, should have 36 fat calories, 4 carb calories and 168 protein calories, with a total of 208 calories per teaspoon. As you see, the label must be incorrect, either with the calorie count or the nutrients count.
I took a look at the organic vegetable base and it has a similar disparity in its nutrient/calorie count.
So which is it? 11 or 208 calories? It makes a big difference to me, as I am watching my fat and overall calorie intake.
To make matters more confusing the Amazon add says "naturally fat free. Now I'm even more flummuxed.
