Customer Rating: Summary: best lip stain yet! Comment: I am a makeup junkie and have tried every lip stain on the market. This stain is the best! It does not leave your lips dry at all. Love the colors, have several. Great to layer under lipstick too. It's a must have in my purse at all times. I have recommended this to my sisters who also love the product. Customer Rating: Summary: The best stain I've ever used. Comment: After trying almost every lipstain available, this is, hands down, the best. The applicator and formula are perfect! That being said, I can't see a significant difference in the 3 colors I've purchased. The shades are only very slightly different. Luckily, I love them all, so this doesn't end up being problematic. It's such a great product, therefore I'm considering trying other Vincent Longo products. I received a sample of his concealer from Sephora and it's very impressive, too. The line is very expensive, though, so that's something to consider as well. Customer Rating: Summary: Maybe try Lipsense Comment: I personally haven't tried Vincent Longo Lip Stain but will. I have had luck with Lipsense. They are sold by individuals. Do a search by Lipsense. I initially bought one at a Hair and Nail show that I attend annually. With the lip stains, you definitely need to apply a few layers making sure that each layer is dry until you put on a new one. It's a quick process actually. It does work if you do it right. It does for me anyway. It lasts a few hours as well. It's worth a try. Customer Rating: Summary: best lip stain i've tried, so far Comment: i really dislike long-lasting lip color - it felt either gummy, or dried on so hard my lips hurt. i finally gave up and started looking for a simple lip stain - it wasn't that simple. some colors were downright scary, felt-tip applicators dried out after a few uses, or smell was unpleasant. then my sister recommended Longo. i bought Liquid Kiss and i love it. color looks great, a little darker than my natural lip color and easy to apply with the "doe-foot" applicator (careful, the product is runny). the only disadvantage is it doesn't last as long as i would like - it will rub off after eating or drinking, so you need to reapply several times a day. 4.5 stars. Customer Rating: Summary: Happy! Long lasting, very good color. Comment: I bought this product in "Liquid Kiss" after examining all the colors in a Sephora shop. It looks nothing like the screenshot above, but I love it.
Color: It is very hard to find a lip stain that is not too bright for african-american women and even more difficult for me, since my lips aren't dark. "Liquid Kiss" looks very much like a blackberry stain (yay!), which is just what I was looking for.
Color Tip: If you swipe the applicator on the bottle's rim before applying, then let that layer dry before adding more, you will have more control over the amount of color. I get a range of "naturally pink" to "plum lipstick" looks, using this method.
Endurance: It stays on through at least 5 hours, unless I eat something greasy like a patty melt or pizza. I usually only re-apply once, late afternoon-evening.
Texture: Dries quickly, and is drying to lips, as you should expect a lipstain to do. I layer Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm over it, and re-apply as needed, just as I would do anyway!
