Summary: Ok moisturizer, foul smell
Comment: I can't say this is the best moisturizer I've ever used. It's keeps my skin from drying, but it doesn't give my skin the "i can't stop touching my cheeks" suppleness and softness that soem other moisturizers have. Also, towards the end of the jar, the consistency became increasingly flaky/filmy, which I did not like. But even then, I would say it's an ok 3-star moisturizer. Not having SPF is a huge drawback (although they now came out with one with SPF).

What I couldn't stand was the smell. To me, it had a strong sulfuric smell, like bad eggs. Not enough to gag or anything, but enough to grimace. And it lingered for a couple hours. My boyfriend didn't like the smell either, so I'm pretty sure it's not that I alone have a weird sense of smell. I kept using the product until I finished it because of it's rave reviews and purported benefits, but after using it on a consistant daily basis, I don't notice any miraculous effects on my skin and I certainly didn't get used to the smell.

I moved on to a moisturizer that leaves my skin supple and soft, has SPF, and is fragrance-less (or very lightly perfumed).

Summary: OK for my Super Sensitive Skin But Not Outstanding
Comment: I am allergic and sensitive to almost all skin creams--mass market, upscale, if it has retinol I'm a gonner. BUT I don't want to look old and unkempt because I have to anticipate working with the public until my early 70's. So this product is one that I can use twice a day with no negative reaction. It does cause my eyes to water so I don't use it around the eye area. I don't look great--like I've had surgery, but it does give a nice texture, balances dry/senstive/oily areas and allows my makeup to go on well and stay. I will continue to use this product over anything else because of my lack of allergic reactions.

Summary: Not Worth the Price -- 'Hope' Doesn't Live Up to Hype
Comment: I feel like there must be something wrong with my skin, because unlike the people who gave this product rave reviews, I got nothing out of this product. Fortunately I bought the small size from Sephora (I believe it's only 1oz?) because I wasn't ready to buy the larger, ridiculously expensive ones without a trial use first. Anyway, the product itself is deceiving because it appears to have a fluffy consistency that would work well with any skin type -- creamy enough for dry skin without being too greasy or heavy for oily/acne-prone skin. However, the cream leaves a flaky film when you rub it into your face. I tried rubbing it in as gently as possible and using as little cream as possible at a time in order to avoid this, but it still occurs. Anyway, to sum it up, this product is more of a hassle than anything else, especially if you want to apply makeup on afterwards -- hard to do with flakes of moisturizer all over your skin, which you'll have to spend time taking off first. It makes me wonder: does your skin even absorb the over-priced cream in the first place??

Summary: WTF? Seriously..............................................
Comment: I along with so many of you purchased this item thinking it was the miracle item I was looking for. And loll and behold this is one of the foulest items I have ever used. I had after only a couple uses had red blotchy dry itchy spots all over my face. Not to mention that this is the worst smelling item I have ever used. I like a lot of philosophy other items but they went to wrong with this one.

Summary: Keeping The Lid On Hope
Comment: I once bought this product as an affectionate gag for my friend Hope (who I later decided belongs in a jar with the lid screwed down tight, but that's another story). However, this is a nice, not overly flowery, not horribly greasy moisturizing cream, good for daily use.
