So far I haven't seen much change on my head, with the exception of a bunch of new baby hairs around my hair line in the front. The package says it takes about four months to see full results, so I have hope that the hair growth will continue!
The supplements have also made my eyelashes look amazing...they started filling in more than they ever have before and I don't even wear mascara, they look so good! My nails have also started growing quickly and they're getting pretty strong. All in all, I'd say these supplements do all they claim (even though I'm still waiting to see full results on my hair!). My hair has grown an inch in the month I have been using them, which is twice the normal amount it usually grows. If you're looking to speed up the hair growing process, these are it. I started taking vitamin supplements for my hair about 6 weeks ago (started with Biotin 2500 and Ultra Nourish Hair by GNC.) Those products worked well but I included this because of all the great reviews. My hair is growing substantially but I don't know if it's the biotin, the Phyto or the Ultra Nourish Hair or the combination. I am very pleased with my results and would recommend this produt with the others if you want fast growing hair (about 1 1/2 to 2 inches per month). On a side note, the other products are less expensive so I might discontinue the use of the Phyto just to see if it makes a real difference and save money. I started the vitamins almost 2 months ago, and very soon afterwards, I noticed more eyebrow hair and faster hair growth under my arms--not exactly what I was looking for, but I kept taking the vitamins. I also added twice a week elixir treatments to open up my hair follicles, and now I see new growth on my head, and the hair I already had is thicker. The shiny spots are almost gone, and I also have very, very little hair loss with combing/brushing.
As for my nails, they might be stronger, but I don't think they're growing any faster.
I should add that I've also started taking a multi-vitamin and I've been eating better, which I'm sure has been a help as well. I will continue taking these...I believe they are working.
Customer Rating: Summary: It works! So..beware:o) Comment: I am a South Asian woman in her 20s, who started taking this three months ago, so I could grow out my hair to donate it. (I saw on Oprah that Hilary Swank was also donating her hair, but was taking vitamins for it, so I thought I should take vitamins too.) My hair is thin and black.
Pros: Noticeable difference in the rate of my hair growth. I would say it's 2 inches a month now. (Before the supplements it was about one inch a month.) My nails also grow faster and thicker. I have a nail biting problem -- which I wasn't looking to fix. (I've been unsuccessfully trying to kick this habit since I was seven so I gave up.) But my nails are a little too hard to comfortably bite now, so awesome!
Cons: It really works...beyond just on your scalp. I'm shaving my legs twice a day now.
I didn't notice any difference with the thickness/shininess of my hair, or the thickness/length of my eyebrows or eyelashes. If I pluck or wax my eyebrows, they are back within days.
So I would really does work, but it works everywhere! The con is not that much of a pain, and I think if you wax instead of shave you can still wear skirts and stuff. I'm sticking with it!
