Comment: If you haven't seen the Special Extended version of LOTR, you really haven't seen the movie. I hadn't read the books before I saw the movie, so this version in particular really fills in the blanks that the TV version and even the Extended version leave you with. A great feature is to view it with English subtitles in case you don't quite catch the actors' accents or the 'elvish' language. The special effects and makeup are remarkable and the sheer magnitude of the war scenes is out of this world. A must have if you're a Rings fan!

I recently purchased this Box Set as a birthday gift for my husband. This was such a great buy! We have seen the movies many times but looking at the extended version really did make us feel like we were looking at it for the very first time.

The deleted scenes were fantastic and made my husband and I constantly exclaim "why did they delete that?".

Great buy and most importantly...great value for the price as this is a collectors classic!

Summary: Great collection, will keep you entertained for a long time.
Comment: Great collection lots of commentaries and extra stuff, will take a long time to go through. The movies were great and long, the extended versions of each movie makes them longer but not necessarily entertaining.
