I was nervous buying such an important dress via internet, but it's turned out beautifully. I ordered the large (L), and though my bust doesn't quite fill it, everything else is comfortably snug (plus, it stretches in any tight areas so there's plently of free movement). To fix the bust issue, I'm simply going to shorten the shoulder straps with a little elbow grease. A sitch to fix. There were a few loose strands by the zipper and I cut those immediately so as to not snag them later on.
And the best part: the length. I was worried about that because it isn't mentioned anywhere in the description, but it's right on. Without heels, about an inch is touching the floor. When I put on a 3 or 4 inch heel, it's PERFECT length. By the way, I'm just under 5'7''.
Be sure to wear suitable underwear and garments however- especially in the butt region. It's tight and definately form fitting, so unless you like the commando style, get some comfy spankies- nude color. As for the bra, pretty much any regular one would work. I used a push up (duh) with normal straps. It works fine.
This dress was cheap, true to its color, and true to the fitting chart. The material and form is SO comfortable AND flattering. I'd recommend this dress to anyone who is trusting enough to order online. I'm a normal size 12 in jeans, 40C bra size, 12-14 in misses dresses, I ordered a XL and it fits great. It has a bit of stretch to it so don't order it to big if you want a fitted sexy look. I wasn't quite sure if all the runching (esp on the butt) would look right but honestly- it's great. I'm very top heavy and it holds the girls in just fine, and I can wear a real bra with it because the straps are decent (I love that). But my friend also got this dress and is like a B cup and it looks great on her as well. Im ordering it in another color right now because I like it so much. (And because I haven't quite worked off the 5 pounds I gained during christmas lol) This dress is a great rescue for that. Nothing worse than going to a wedding that you're supposed to be enjoying and thinking the whole time "OMG I can't breathe and I fee like a whale-- how many more minutes till I can get this stupid dress off?!"
As for the woman who complained of the workmanship- I don't see any major flaws in mine. The dress obviously doesn't have couture finishes and linings, but I think it's fine. After all, it's a $70 dress. You get what you pay for. And if you're looking for something to wear to a wedding, or a prom- go for it. I don't know about how it'll wear over time, but honestly I don't wear any of these type dresses more than a few times anyway.
And with this dress I won't even be able to get away with it because everyone complimented me on it, and I'm with the same group of people they will probably notice if I wear it again! I ordered this dress by mistake and tried to cancel the order almost immediately. Called them on the phone and left repeated voicemails asking them to cancel the order and call me back to confirm. They never did. I refused the shipment when it came (so I have no idea what the dress really looks like), and emailed them that I wanted a full refund, including shipping. They don't want to refund the shipping, and they claim they never got my voicemails. That's a flat-out lie, since my mother and I both left one.
They get two stars for at least responding to my email. I don't know if I'll bother fighting over the shipping at all, even though it's $22. I do know that I'll never buy anything from them again.
