Sunday Afternoons 50 UPF Sun Hat for Baby: The Sunday Afternoons 50 UPF Sun Hat for Baby provides unbeatable protection from the sun's harmful rays. We love these hats here at OutdoorKids because the foam-filled brim offers full coverage for cheek, ear, and back of the neck protection and won't lose its shape after getting wet when paddling in a pool. The dark underbrim absorbs reflective light and the foam-filled brim also allows it to float! Don't fold the Sun Hat as it will lose shape, instead roll and pack flat. Spotlight customer reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Goofy style and color; too big for 10 month old Comment: The pros are that it looked like a good quality hat that would definitely keep the sun out of my baby's face. Lightweight, fabric that dries easily. And the cord is a good attempt at keeping it on her head. The cons were that it was totally goofy looking, the color (pink) was pretty different than the picture (I was hoping for rose), and it was huge on my 10 month old. The sizing said something like "Fits 0-18 months." I should have stopped right there. That's like saying your 1 year old's Pampers will fit you when you're old enough to need them again yourself. Needless to say I returned it. I guess hats are one of those (many) products that it's better to buy in person. Customer Rating: Summary: Infant Sunday Afternoons Sun Hat Comment: Great hat, wide brim keeps my 6 months old shaded from the sunlight. Wish it had a air flow type mesh for the infant version, otherwise it's portable and I can fold it up nicely to stash away in diaper bags or small stroller pockets. I take it everywhere just in case we're out in the sun for too long. Customer Rating: Summary: Too big! Comment: This hat was too big for my 4-mo. old son. Had to go to Target to find one that fit him (he does have a small head for his age). But it is a nice hat, and I intend to use it this summer after he grows into it. Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect for kids! Comment: I bought this for my 1 1/2 year old to wear while we were in Hawaii on vacation. It provided lots of sun protection - for his face, head, ears, and neck. It also stayed on with the tie srtaps, even though some days were quite windy. He now wears the hat each time we go for a walk. It is a good substitute for, or in addition to putting sunscreen on. It is a high quality hat.
