Summary: Good for Serious Paddlers
Comment: This kayak is great. My wife and I use it regularly (with the battery-powered coleman inflator) in the Virginia Beach area. We take it down to the beach, inflate it, put the inflator in a waterproof bag, and go out on the ocean. This kayak has the capability of moving quickly. Even though it is inflatable, it's not hard to get up speed.
It is sturdy and hasn't flipped over yet. It also has nets that hold your gear. The seating areas are comfortable. I am very glad I bought this.

Summary: Outstanding kayak for paddling on calm waters!
Comment: We aren't into hard core kayaking. We are more into calm paddling around the lake or down the river. For our purposes, there isn't a better kayak for the price on the market!

The PROS:

- I am 6'2" and I feel like I have lots of room!
- The way you sit up on top, and have a seat back, makes this kayak so comfortable to be in.
- Very stable feeling while in the water, feels like you can't tip it over.
- Quick to inflate and deflate, which makes it easy to transport.

The CONS:

- The only negative is that the oars that are included tend to drip a lot of water down which gets you pretty wet while paddling. But on a hot summer day, that can actually be a good thing.

The bottom line is that this is an amazing deal. If you can find this model anywhere, you should get it!

Summary: Great for small lake!!!
Comment: I live in a neighborhood with a 40 acre lake. This is perfect for that. I also bought the single kayak and the pump which is a must! I love the fact that if you aren't going to use it for a few days you can let out the air, fold it up and put it out of the way. Very sturdy.

Summary: DO NOT PUT IN OCEAN!!!!!!
Comment: i got this kayak off [...] and when it came one of the foot supports kept deflating although the box says guaranteed not to deflate!

REgardless i knew this wouldnt really affect my kayaking much. i took this thing to Venice beach in LA and a lifeguard came up to me and told me this thing doesnt look safe for the ocean but i can go ahead and take it in anyways. well i dragged it in and this thing filled up with water upon the first little wave. It definalely would have tossed me over and sunk before i would even pass the waves. so dont take it into the ocean. ill take it into the marina dock as the lifeguard instructed. o well thats what happens when you buy cheap stuff.

Summary: Best deal on water!
Comment: Wow this kayak is so much better than I expected. It is tough! Just took it out for our third trip. Did the Chattahoochee river from Buford Dam to Jones Bridge Park. That is a little more than 20 miles of class I, Class II rapids. Lots of rocks and down trees. Scraped it over more rocks then I can count. When we were done, turned it over and not a mark on it! Wish we came out as good. We are tired, sore and sun burnt but very happy, can't wait tell next weekend! Had no trouble keeping up with other Kayaks and canoes on the river. You will get a little wet in this thing but that's part of the fun. Had a least 4 people ask where we got it and how much we paid. I think I could have sold them on the spot if we had had them.

Not sure why other people have had problems with the paddles. They seem very well made for the price. I think maybe they are not putting them together correctly. You need to make sure the aluminum tubes slide all the way together and that the plastic nuts tightened down on the etched part of the tubes. As far the paddle rings on the kayak for stowing the paddles, bring along a bungee cord. The rings have holes in them for bungee cords. If you stow the paddle in the rings and rap a bungee once around and connect it to the ring holes you can literally pick the whole kayak up by the paddle. You can buy bungee cord six to a pack at the dollar store.

Before I bought this I was considering buying a hard side kayak but I could not figure out a good way to haul it with our motor home. So I thought I would give this a try. Boy am I glad I did.
