    • Available in .875", 1.00", 1.125 , 1.25" and 1.375" sizes. (These sizes allow for 1/4" to 3/8" above the lug heigth. Please refer to the chart below.). Backers are a square aluminum backer with a nylon locking nut. Additional studs are sold in packages of 50 with backers and nuts.

    Summary: These studs are very poor quality
    Comment: I purchased these studs hoping to have a rust free track. I received a mismatch of all sizes of studs on my first order which was corrected after I sent them back for an exchange. The first sign of trouble was when 5 of the studs broke in half when I was putting them on the track. I wasn't overtightening them and looking at the breaking point I noticed that it was a clean flat break which points to poor quality stainless.

    Now for the real trail test. After only 100 miles 4 studs were missing, more than 70% of the studs no longer had the carbide tip and additionally the studs had lost 1/4" of the length of the stud. Not worth the money at all! I rode in good to very good trail conditions and only rode on a few seasonal roads for short durations.

    In comparison I had Woody's studs on my previous track. They lasted for 2500 miles and probably still had 1000 miles left on them. FYI, I replaced my track because I got a new M-10 suspension and wanted everything new again. I have learned that you should buy the higher quality studs and studs that are made of steel. I think these Buck's studs are manufactured with low quality and I also think that weaker stainless steel is definitely not the appropriate metal to be using for studs.
