Summary: Nice but too expensive for what you get
Comment: I love watching Paula Deen and have most of her cookbooks. I subscribed to her magazine last year and while I did enjoy it, I will not subscribe again. I have a rule of thumb. I try not pay over $12 for a one year(meaning 10- 12 issues)subscription. Paula's magazine although nice is too much money for what you get and that is 6 issues a year for nearly $20. The magazine seems to be an extension to me of Southern Lady Magazine. There are recipes but I wish there were more and I wish there were 10-12 issues at a better price. If you are looking for a great magazine on the Southern Lifestyle for a good price go with Southern Living. You get the recipes, travel info, lifestyle just to name a few and it's a full 12 month subscription.

Comment: I bought this for my mother-in-law. She loves Paula Deen. I don't know anything about the magazine but I ordered it a couple of weeks before Christmas and they informed me she wouldn't be getting her subscription until March. That is totally ridiculous.

Comment: The photos are wonderful, and you can almost taste the food. Her recipes are easy to follow, home style, absolutely delicious, BUTTERY wonderful, and I can't wait to get the next issue!

By the way PAULA--- Please help us to stop using the hydrogenated oil Trans Fat!

Summary: Excellent Magazine...Pure Paula!
Comment: Paula's magazine is wonderful...unlike what one of the reviewers wrote about the recipes being bland. They are all from Paula's cookbooks, new recipes or from her friends. NONE are bland...they are Pure Paula and all have the wonderful southern flare she is known for. I have been fortunate enough to meet Paula in person and was at a recent taping of her new t.v. show Paula's Party...this magazine is just another wonderful extention of her many talents!
