Comment: The battery died. To access the battery you must unscrew the back. The screws were jammed tight. Had to break off the back. But then had more severe problems when putting in a new battery: a smokey smell, fading LCD display...

Summary: Perfect pocket multimeter
Comment: As someone who only occasionally needs the services that a multimeter can provide, this is the perfect device. It's small, easy to store, accurate, and durable.

The unit I received looks much better than the one in the picture. It has a yellow plastic construction, comes with the black/red probes, and includes a 9V battery.

And although it is lightweight, it doesn't seem fragile at all. In fact, it seems very durable.

The instructions are marginally useful at best, but that's not really important since it performs to my expectations. And the price can't be beat. Definitely a handy device to have around the house.
