Comment: it is not entirely clear from the writeup on the garmin nav, but the garmin comes with a great power cord for the car and a recharger for use with a wall outlet so buying this is not necessary unless you want an extra one.

Comment: When I bought the GPS unit, the site said that this cord was also bought by customers who bought the unit, so I thought I needed it. Turns out it came with the GPS, so I returned it.

Summary: Works like a charm
Comment: This product worked great for my Nuvi 250W... bought this to replace my charger that was lost to a car accident. It isn't the exact same charger that came in the packaging of my GPS, and neither is it the same one in the picture: The DC adapter is a little more rounded on the edges.

The length of the cord is the same length as my old charger, which is great because I'm able to route the cable from the bottom of my center console, under the driver's side dash, between the door and the dash and up to the left side of my windshield.

Great product, and Amazon's price can't be beat.
