Comment: This is a very useful accessory to any Laptop/PC user. With USB devices proliferating by the day, the standard 3 or even 4 USB ports provided turn out to be insufficient and this compact gadget provides additional ports with minimum fuss. And it doesn't cost a bomb!

Summary: Won't boot with Vista
Comment: I bought three of these. Good price an nice design. However, when I reboot Vista, Vista freezes up when it initializes the USB controller. It boots fine if I unplug these Belkin USB hubs. But hten I have to plug the USB hubs back in and it takes Vista 3-4 minutes to load drivers and get everything working. Sometimes if still goofs -- and I have to start all over again. I can't recommend these hubs for Vista.

I have been using this with my MacBook Pro. I use my external drive, external wired mouse and laptop chill mat with this USB hub in one go. All work fine.
I am pleased with this hub and would recommend it.

Comment: My handy old laptop has only one USB, so a small hub is very handy to plug in a choice of several items as needed, and keep with the PC.
