The Shoe Pouch was designed by Grantwood Technology, LLC to allow runners and walkers to use the Nike+ iPod Sport Kit® or Nike+ SportBand with any type of shoe. When designing the Shoe Pouch, our primary goal was to ensure a snug fit, extensively testing it with reinforced, nylon lace loops, and a Velcro® closure over the insertion slit. These designs maximize the durability of the Shoe Pouch while, most importantly, maintaining the accuracy of the Nike+® system. The Shoe Pouch matches the correct longitudinal alignment of the sensor, completely covers the sensor and attaches through the laces for excellent security. With a small, low profile, secure, neoprene design, the Shoe Pouch is the answer to using the Nike+iPod® with any style of shoe.With over 60,000 sold, we have saved our customers well over a $6,000,000 in purchases of new Nike+® shoes. This worked pretty good but I found that you HAVE to recalibrate once you get them. It was saying I was going much faster then I knew I was. once I recalibrated it on a treadmill it reads almost perfect now. Would buy again, maybe in a different color though. Super easy...insert Nike+ sensor into pouch (there's a velcro closure so it's no going anywhere), unlace your shoe, thread the laces into the pouch and the shoe again, and you're done. Since I have a pair of dedicated running shoes the sensor goes to "sleep" when there is no motion detected. If you use your shoes for general use you can easily thread the laces so that the lace knot and the pouches two top attachment points are next to each other, allowing you to take out/put in the sensor easily (i.e. isn't sending out signals and wasting the battery when you are not running). Works with any shoe; stays in place very securely; highly recommended.
