Widely known for their countless rare and limited tour only recordings the Sad Clown Bad Dub seriers has become a staple in Atmosphere's 10 year recording career.

Summary: Awesome Album
Comment: Atmosphere is quickly becoming one of my favorite artists. It's hard to imagine that this artist has been around for quite sometime. The rap is prolific and it is almost reminiscent of Common in a way, but it's unique and stands on its own. The beats are crazy.

"Sunshine" is definitely a classic on this album and it's an awesome party anthem for the summertime.

Along with the prolific lyrics and the crazy beats, you get a message in just about each and every song. Pick up this album - you will not be disappointed.

Comment: Top notch entertainment Sirs, Ant and Slug you have come up with true ambition and goal derived from an overdose of the souls exposure to life. Anyone who is new or acquainted or young or old should pick up this niffty little accelerated party grower. Thank you also for the free throwback album, the download and tracks for the 47+ album were all fabbed out, fantastic cutts, thank you gentlemen and keep it coming to the West coast.

Summary: Great 5 track EP
Comment: This is the best of the three season EP's that Atmosphere has recently released under the Sad Clown series. Every track is banging with a great signature sound that Ant is starting to produce with his great blues beats. The piano on here is great and Slug is at his best in songs such as sunshine. Be sure to check out the free CD that Atmosphere just released on the Ryhmesayers website, it is called Strickly Leakage.

Summary: The 9th Installment Holds It's Own!
Comment: When I think about Atmosphere's "Sad Clown Bad Dub" series, I can't help but get a lukewarm feeling from them. Each EP usually has a couple of dope tunes, and the rest are easily forgettable. "Sad Clown Bad Summer #9" is the first installment out of a 4-season series of EP releases from underground favorites Slug & Ant.

To my astonishment, all 5 tracks on this EP are solid. Some better than others, but I've been able to listen to this EP 10+ times, which usually isn't the case with EP's at all. "Sunshine" is a local/radio favorite here in Minneapolis, featuring Musab (aka Beyond) on additional vocals. My favorite goes to "The Number One" though. The beat, the hook, the warm lyrics - it's all here in stellar beauty. "RFTC" picks up the pace a bit as Ant tears through yet another infectious and memorable beat. "Mattress" & "Don't Forget" are probably my least favorite here. They are great tunes with great beats, but lack ever so slightly in the infectiousness of the 3 previous tunes.

Overall, I would recommend adding this to your library if you're looking for some quality Atmosphere to tide you over in between full-length releases. And although it's not usually the case, this nice little EP is just as rewarding as their full records.
