Summary: This is Great Laundry Detergent--Especially if You Have Sensitive Skin
Comment: I have been using Seventh Generation Free and Clear Laundry Detergent for about six months now and I think it's great. The stuff really IS free and clear--unlike so many products that seem to have some fragrance even if they promise they don't--which is great for people who have sensitive skin. My husband and I have both broken out from different detergents/and or dryer sheets in the past, so we're always wary to try a new detergent, but neither of us had any reaction to the Seventh Generation stuff.
It's a great bonus that this detergent is environmentally friendly. The concentrate lasts a long time since you have to use so little for every load, and the detergent you do use is biodegradable. I like the idea that I'm not killing the planet by getting clean (I live right by a major east coast waterway so it's extra nice)!
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good environmentally friendly detergent.

Comment: Just like to confirm the love for this product. They appear to have fixed whatever issues they were having with the caps breaking during shipping, and I appreciate the new concentrated formula, which requires less packaging and reduces the shipping rate.

Comment: This detergent has worked well for us so far. It is expensive, but it has been great for my daughters allergies. It seems to clean very well. I haven't noticed any lingering stains or color fading, but when you're talking tons of kids clothes, I don't inspect everything carefully while doing the laundry. I have a front loading washer and this is great because it doesn't get overly sudsy and leaves the clothes very fresh smelling.

I started switching to Seventh Generation products because I was trying to do the right thing for the environment, but I've found that the Seventh Generation products are also incredibly good for me because they are free from the bleaches, dyes, and allergens that set off my skin allergies so badly. I love this laundry detergent as it doesn't leave my clothes feeling scratchy or itchy to me, and I don't have to worry about skin rashes on laundry day. My mother also loves that the detergent is largely fragrance free - her allergies are badly irritated by all those fake flower scents that they stuff into commercial cleaners. And, besides all those benefits, I feel that the laundry comes out just as clean as before, and my clothes seem to last a lot longer, now that they don't get as many chemicals soaked into them.
I originally purchased a single bottle from Drugstore.com, but Amazon turns out to be a slightly lower price (adjusted for scale, of course), so I'll probably order the larger Amazon pack whenever I run out next time.

Summary: seventh generation laundry detergent complaint problem color fast
Comment: I have tried both the powder and liquid Seventh Generation Laundry detergents. Both have bleached color out of clothing items. The first time the company reimbursed me for the cost of the clothes, and told me they were removing the words "color fast" from the product labels (they did). Now that it has happened again I will not be using this product in the future.
