Summary: Great, for a while . . .
Comment: I can't tell you how much I loved this headset for the first two months. Great volume, excellent noise cancellation, clear as a bell, light weight, good battery life, comfortable to the point you forget you have it on, and a cute little recharger that magnetically grabs and self-aligns the headset on the charging unit. Yep, the noise cancellation even worked (pretty well) on excessive wind noise making convertable driving and talking on bluetooth possible -- I was able to use it driving around town with the top down (although putting up all the windows helped the person on the other end understand me better).

That was the first couple of months.

Now, however, it won't hold a charge. I put it on and make a 30 minute phone call, hang up and give a voice command to dial another number and I get that you're-out-of-power double-beep. So I put it back onto the charger and it powers up quickly, but just won't last.

Too late to return it because I only got a 30 day warranty even though I bought it from AT&T.

Summary: Great headset, excellent quality.
Comment: I am extremely pleased with the H681 Bluetooth Headset. It works extremely well in my car. I drive approximately 1000 miles per week, so I have the headset on for long periods. At first it was a little uncomfortable, but after I got the hang of finding a comfortable position, I can hardly tell it is there. The reception is great with no fading in and out. The power and volume controls are conveniently located. I use my headset with a Razr and there have never been any connection problems. Also, voice dialing works great. If you're looking for a small and lightweight headset with great voice quality, this is the one for you.

Summary: What? WHAT?! Wait, what?! Please say it just one more time...
Comment: I am not a fan of this product... or anything Motorola for that matter. I have yet to use, or speak to anyone using, a Motorola product and been able to hear clearly. It's like all the enunciation is removed from the words. All that's left is vowels. I pause for a good 5 seconds after everything I hear while the sounds run through my head and try to pair themselves up with words they could POSSIBLY be.

"What?! Xylophone?! OH! WIRELESS phone! That makes much more sense." Yeah, I said that just this morning. I'm taking this thing back. I felt like $70 was a substantial amount of money to spend on a stupid little piece of plastic that I'll probably lose within a week... but apparently it's not. Apparently you have to spend upwards of $120 just to be able to HEAR. Neat.

Unless you have super sensory hearing or the ability to use telepathy I would highly recommend you purchase a different product.

Summary: bought 2
Comment: I bought two. One for me and one for my husband. He likes his. Mine bothers my ear after a short period even with the pads. Also I can hear the call come in but the caller cannot hear me so I need to switch to my mobile in order to talk. My husband would give it a 5 and I would give it a 1 so the 3 rating.

Summary: Works great, but the poor fit meant I had to buy a different one.
Comment: Okay, let me start by saying that the H681 is a sound piece of equipment. The volume is great and the sound quality is pretty good and I've put several hours on the thing without incident (technologically speaking). The power switch is also easily accessible while wearing this and the volume controls (though they initially felt backwards to me) are easy to access and press simultaneously for call waiting.

However.

The usability for this headset is completely DESTROYED by the fact that there is no way to swivel the piece to point toward (or at least parallel to) your cheek. So unless it fits you perfectly from go, you are going to have problems. Not only will you look like a d-bag for wearing one of these things in most contexts, but you will look like a COMPLETE TOOL because the thing wanders away from your face and sticks out away from your head! It looks totally ridiculous and is even more frustrating when you throw a pair of glasses or sunglasses into the equation. Look forward to pushing this thing back toward your head every time you want to make a call.

The simple fact is, instead of making a somewhat adjustable piece to go over the ear, they made it out of a solid straw of plastic. And that, my friends, has compelled me to go buy one that is more adjustable. It's a terrible waste, considering the quality of the headset otherwise seems very good.
