Customer Rating: Summary: Best New Series in a long time Comment: Burn Notice is an excellent take on the classic detective story. The main character, cut off by the government he used to work for reasons unknown, is dumped in Miami and left to fend for himself.
The show has a great arc that focus' on the Burn Notice itself, but each episode he handles some other problem that is either in his way or lands on his lap. In many instances these give him the resources and further connection to continue his inquires into his own burn notice, but occasionally they are for much more important things like eating, impressing his girlfriend and getting his mom off his back.
The show is a solid mix of great elements the detective genre. Our hero is One part James Bond, one part Magnum PI, and a dash of Bogart. Its setting is the bastard child of John D McDonald and Girls Gone Wild. The Narrative style is mission impossible meets Alton Brown.
In Short, Watch it. Its amazing.
Customer Rating: Summary: The best TV show ever made. Comment: This show is the best show I have ever seen. It has everything, action, drama, romance, more action, suspense, plot, everything. Totally genius.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's an Enjoyable Show Comment: I only began watching Burn Notice because Bruce Campbell was in the mix... I've always been a fan of his... Fortunately, the other stars of the show are just as entertaining and the stories aren't half bad either.
Customer Rating: Summary: Characters Develop, Plot Thickens, Things Blow Up -- What More Do You Need!? Comment: Burn Notice is one of the best televisions shows in a long time! It is smart, funny, and constantly entertaining. If you liked Firefly or you like House, you will love this dry, sarcastic comedy. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great TV series Comment: Burn Notice is not a typical spy vs spy TV show, it is an intricate, tightly written adventure that features good looking people doing extraordinary things. The main character, Michael, carries out his search for the entity who "burned" him as an agent while doing what he can to make a living in the meantime. His skills are manifest, and where he is laking his trigger happy ex-girlfriend and an ex-Navy Seal buddy take up the slack. Toss in a dysfunctional family and you have a show that rocks hard!
